How BrickBlip handles information. Last updated 12 August 2026.
BrickBlip has no accounts, no sign-in, and no database of visitors. It does not ask you for your name, email address, or payment details, and there is nothing on this site that collects them. What remains is ordinary web-server logging, one analytics tag, and the tracking that eBay itself performs after you click through to a listing.
BrickBlip does not create user accounts or profiles, does not build advertising audiences, does not sell or share information with data brokers, and does not run third-party advertising networks. It never sees or stores your eBay credentials, your eBay account details, your bids, your purchases, or any other private eBay user data — BrickBlip only reads publicly available listing information through eBay's Browse API, using its own application credentials rather than yours.
BrickBlip is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel's infrastructure records standard request data — IP address, user agent, the URL requested, timestamps, and response status — so that the site can be served, protected from abuse, and debugged. That logging is operated by Vercel under its own privacy policy. BrickBlip does not copy those logs into any store of its own and does not use them to identify individual visitors.
BrickBlip uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited and roughly where traffic comes from. The Google tag loads only when a measurement ID is configured for the deployment; it is configured on the production site at brickblip.com. It is the standard Google tag with default settings — BrickBlip does not define custom analytics events, custom dimensions, or user IDs, and does not send listing titles, catalog identities, or any personal data into analytics.
Google Analytics sets its own cookies (for example _ga) and collects the usual measurement data, including the page address, referrer, approximate location derived from IP address, and device and browser characteristics. Because the page address is collected, a search you run on this site is visible to analytics as part of the URL — see the next section. Google's handling of this data is governed by its privacy policy and business data-protection terms.
BrickBlip sets no cookies of its own. It does not use local storage, fingerprinting, or session-replay tools.
Search terms and filter selections travel in the page URL — for example ?q=millennium+falcon. They are used on the server only to filter the current set of auction listings and to render that page. BrickBlip does not store search history, does not associate searches with a visitor, and does not build suggestions or profiles from them. Because they are part of the URL, they do appear in the hosting logs and in Google Analytics page reports described above. If you would rather a term not appear there, search on eBay directly instead.
The "View on eBay" buttons are affiliate links through the eBay Partner Network. As an eBay Partner, BrickBlip may be compensated if you make a purchase. Listing prices, bids and end times are controlled by eBay and its sellers. Full details are on the affiliate disclosure page.
Those links carry a campaign identifier and a short tracking identifier describing which part of this site you clicked from — values such as home_no_bids or lego-set-auctions. They describe the page surface only. They contain no name, no email address, no IP address, no search term, and nothing that identifies you.
Once you follow the link, you are on eBay. eBay and the eBay Partner Network then apply their own cookies and tracking in order to attribute any resulting purchase, and your visit is subject to eBay's user privacy notice. BrickBlip receives only aggregate commission reporting from eBay and is not told who you are.
"Research on BrickLink" buttons are plain navigation links to BrickLink catalog or search pages. They are not affiliate links, carry no tracking parameters, and earn BrickBlip nothing. Following one subjects your visit to BrickLink's own privacy practices.
Listing photographs are hosted by eBay and are re-served through this site's image pipeline, so loading a results page does not by itself hand your browser to eBay. Clicking through to a listing does.
BrickBlip keeps no visitor database, so there is nothing about you for it to retain. Auction listing data fetched from eBay is held in short-lived server memory measured in minutes and is replaced or discarded as it expires. Hosting logs are retained by Vercel for its own standard operational period, and analytics data is retained according to the retention setting of the Google Analytics property, both under those providers' policies rather than a store controlled by BrickBlip.
You can block or delete analytics cookies in your browser settings, use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or use a content blocker — the site works normally with analytics blocked, because nothing on it depends on the tag loading. Since BrickBlip holds no personal records, there is no account to access, export, or delete; if you have a privacy question or want a listing page corrected or removed, write to the address below and it will be handled directly.
BrickBlip is a marketplace-discovery tool intended for adult collectors and buyers. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them.
Vercel, Google, eBay, the eBay Partner Network, and BrickLink each operate under their own privacy policies and terms. BrickBlip does not control those services and cannot answer for their practices.
This policy will be updated if BrickBlip's behaviour changes, and the date at the top of the page will change with it. Questions about anything here go to support@practicalstack.dev, or via the contact page.
